It's a wonderful life

Today I realised why I love being a bicycle mechanic and event promoter: I get to meet fellow cyclists.

My customers come from all kinds of backgrounds, ride all kinds of bikes, and ride for all kinds of reasons; but we all speak the same language, and it's a language written in the wind and on the road.

I'm 60 this year, and after more than half a lifetime spent as a school teacher, I finally feel I am doing what I was meant to be doing all along.

Thank you to my customers past and present; the road lays ahead and it's great to have you along for the ride.
